Yugoslavia 1921-22 Vs. 1924 Postage Due Sets Question

I'm in the US and only have easy access to Scott. Do one of the European catalogs have the dimensons of the 1921-22 vs. the 1924 Yugoslavia postage due issues? I.e, Scott J3-J11 vs. J12-J20. Or any other distinguishing aspects besides perforations? Thanks in advance, appreciate your help,

I'm not positive (though don't know for sure) that dimensions varied between the two blocs. From what I know, the "sure" way of distinguishing them (different perforation measurements aside) is that J3-11 have terrible perfs, while J12-20 have the cleaner, better looking ones.

APS----- Here is better scan of the differences between the 1921 issue and the 1923 issue . There are clear design difference in my collection .

"Sure " way of distinguishing them is by the terrible perfs .-----REALLY !!!!! I would say everything is different ,the lettering , the background ,the numbers and over all design ........Look at my scan above this posting .

I agree with Floortrader but without the two different designs in hand, it could be difficult to verbally describe the differences.

That said, the numbers have unique differences that can be described verbally. In the case of the 10 para, the smaller design stamp has the top serif of "1" hanging over both sides of the stem. In the larger design, the serif hangs out over only the left side of the stem.

In the case of the 2 din, the smaller format has a flat base on the number 2, while the larger design has a curvy base on the number 2.

Scott's does not picture or describe the differences?

Actually as I studied the designs I noticed there is a way to tell the 2 series apart. Smaller format stamps have "O's" in "PORTO" that have thick sides and a central space shaped like a medicine capsule. In the larger format stamps, the "O's" in "PORTO" are more uniformly thin all the way around and the central space is round. This is also true in the cyrillic letters in the second line of lettering at top.

I also believe, from looking at floortrader's images above, and by over-laying one stamp partially with the other, that there are clearly two different sizes, albeit a very small difference. The larger one, as best as I can read the mm scale with a magnifying glass, is 28-1/2 x 22-1/2 mm (Sc. #J 3-11) and the smaller one is 27-1/2 x 21-1/2 mm (Sc. #J 12-20).

Yes, the size is different, the design is similar but different, but the easy 'tell' is the perfs. Either very rough or more clean cut. Note that the newer ones come in several different perforations, not just the 10½ I have shown.
