I did not find any information on this series having punches only overprinted. Any one seen this or can provide additional info?

This is listed by Stanley Gibbons, #O25 issued 1928. There are other Sudan SG perfin issues identifiable by number of holes in each letter.

Well, maybe just an older British Commonwealth catalog. There's a version that only runs up to 1970 if that's your area of interest. Catalog prices change, of course, but just a small number of SG cat numbers have changed over time, though I think the Australian States might have had a major overhaul at some point.

There are three Official sets listed by Gibbons with SG punctures. They are dated from 1913 until 1930. Your stamp is from the small sized set which was issued in 1922.
Here is a used set of the 1913 set with a few color shades included. They are listed as SG O12-O20. There are chalk and ordinary paper versions of the 5P and 10P values. I am still looking for the chalk paper version of the 5P value.
