A quick search online for Penny Black and Penny Red will give you hours of reading. There's a bit of material to be found at Stanley Gibbons, which perhaps is an obvious answer given your location. |

kmaspitfire Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ |

Hello. A few years ago, in Italy, there was a fashion for acquiring Penny Black matching the initials of the name. This one you show suits Calvin Klein. Looking in detail at some reproductions on stamps from other countries, taking into account the same letters in the lower corner, you can see some that were never edited. Regards. |

Hello All! Just a quick intro, My Name is David, I am a Retired/Disabled Veteran, USAF, Ex- New Mexico State Police Officer. I am 50 years old, Been Collection Coins and Currency since the age of 13. I am always looking to expand my collection and sharing my education in Numismatics with others. I just acquired a large stamp collection, looking to learn more about them and possible doing some trading and selling along the way. I have been very busy on the coin forum under Arby96, mostly in Coin Roll Hunting, Half Dollars and Quarters. |
