This 50c value (SG #157) of Singapore is from the August 9, 1971 set of four Singapore Festival stamps. Stamp depicts a boy and girl celebrating Deepavali, or Diwali (modern pronunciation. Deepavali is the Festival of Lights (triumph of good over evil) celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists.  |

On November 1, 1991 Finland issued this 1.80 markka, discount 1st class domestic rate stamp (Facit #1157) for use on Christmas cards mailed between December 1-15. Stamp depicts Santa Claus leading a candlelight parade through the snow. From Facit, "The sale at post offices ceased from 16th December 1991".  |
