Sorry , I forgot to say seems unusual and would appreciate any help.
I have gone thru the rest of the kgv's - and can't find anything similar.

I also now notice that the leg on the emu is different to the one on the left

ACSC catalogue mentions 89(23)t, which is a missing crown. The picture in this Australian Catalogue looks very similar to your copy. Value in 2014 was about AUS$30.00. A nice copy. Thanks for posting

As a general comment on the cross on top of the crown, this is fertile ground for variety chasers. There are at least 3 plate positions where the cross is essentially absent, then the are a number where the cross is damaged. Finally there are quite a few where thr cross at to slopes downwards to a greater or lesser degree towards the left or right. Some of these are shown in :
