I don't know if Air Mail labels are catalogued like stamps, but if someone knows what I'm looking at here, I'd love an ID

I'm not aware of a third party catalog designation for these sorts of stamps/stickers, but could very well be wrong. No doubt, those officially printed by postal agencies have their own identifiers (current USPS ones are PS 19-A and PS 19-B), they say "United States Postal Service." These I imagine are a private printing, the kind sold at stores.

2 Catalogues I am aware of:
http://goscf.com/t/12126&whichpage=20#706227 br /

I have bucket loads of these type etiquettes, yet I do not recognise
your examples.
You need on cover (and hopefully "tied") to successfully identify.

Catalogue of Airmail Labels by Gunter Mair is the go-to catalog. Hard to find at times but thorough. I have one but cannot find it at the moment.

The lower left label has "POD LABEL XXX" on it with xxx representing a 3 digit number I can't read.
This is a USPOD label from the mid 1960s.

UPDATE: found a reference to "POD label 101" here:

http://verzamelaarsrondevenen.nl/wo...21-klein.pdf

Apparently a sheet like this went for a respectable $100 at auction. They list its catalog no as USA-A-22, but I can't figure out which catalog this is

This interesting and something I have pondered in the past. I have a lot of these myself and always considered them to be Cinderella's and store them in Vario stock pages in the back of my Cindy binders. I'll have to ear mark this for further study.
