The surface is so dark I've had this with other ephemera for 15 years and then the light hit it just right...

1st National Bank, Lake Charles, LA wallet with a PC8 printed on one face. Cancelled Lake Charles, LA Jan 1, 1903. interior says this side for folding money only (no, not really) ;)

That's quite fascinating! I think there'd be interest in seeing this on the paper money forums for collectors of National Bank material. It looks to be exactly the size of a postal card!
