I posted this a few years ago. My favorite, and I'm pretty sure that it's a blank space in most U.S. albums-- was #66, now 66TC3, a/k/a "The Lake". It's such a gorgeous shade (hue), and just love the impression:

Rev collector: there is also a property map bearing RM30 as listed on pf search, not clearly mentioned as used outside of the colonies.

Collecting the entire world, inclusively, makes this an almost impossible task. Hard to pick just one. But, I always seem to gravitate back to this Swedish sheet commemorating Slania's 1000th stamp design. The detail and colors are just awesome.

How cruel to make us pick just one!

That se tenant spacewalk pair from '67 shown by Canyoneer and Gwanghoops has always been a favorite. I was already collecting when that came out, but that issue really got me.

When I went in for US airmails in a comprehensive way, I found that Q8 shown by BLCjr exerted a huge attraction despite being in another area. So I forced it into my album.

But I go back to the rich lake color of my avatar stamp, the 1890 #219D, so often. The color is one big reason, but the backstory of that color and then travails of the successor 220 with the caps on twos, 220a and 220c, so I have to say, my favorite is still 219D....

I have developed recently a weakness, though, for the wild exuberance of the eagle and shield of the 1869 pictorial (#121). Give me time and a good auction or two and I might come back and edit my post

I also cannot pick just one. I will give you the one for this week - just purchased. Why do I like this SAAR stamp - large format and very moody colours. Rich and dark - industrial.

I like that SAAR stamp too. It looks like a 70s album cover decades before rock and roll existed.

funcitypapa-It almost certainly was used elsewhere, I have known some serious collectors of embossed revenues over the years, if it was used in the contiguous US they would know about it.

Rev: you sort of wonder where that certified RM 30 property map is hiding these days. It would be interesting to see if the property could be more clearly pinpointed.

I recently acquired this stamp I have long sought after. This is a photo from wiki as I have not scanned mine in yet, but same idea. The 1929 £1 Great Britain Congress stamp:

There are so many.

This one is in my top tier. Greece Scott 232. The blue and black appeal to me, and the frame design is nice and simple. The centering is not too bad either.
