Hi,

Came across these stamps in lot I was going through. They looked interesting and I ended up trying to find out more about their value.

In my research, I came across several sites and forum posts that I found at least partially helpful.

Last half of the page has pictures of the unissued sets from this period.

Gives listing of Kingdom of Yemen stamps from 1949-1959.
http://www.ohmygosh.on.ca/stamps/yemen/yemen49.htm

Gives selling value for some Yemen sets, including some of the ones in my picture.
http://www.maganstamps.co.uk/Yemen.htm

A post about half-way down gives some information about some of the pictured stamps.

Forum post asks about Michel value of some of the stamps pictured.

From what I gather:
The 2 bottom stamps are part of an set from 1947, that was not officially issued. I can get a general idea of value from my 2011 San-Z Scott catalogue , that has a note saying,

Quote:
"Admission of Yemen to the U.N.
10 postage, 5 airmail and 5 postage due stamps for the Admission of Yemen to the U.N. were not officially issued for use on domestic mail. Pictured on some of the stamps were Truman, Roosevelt, Churchill and the Statue of Liberty. Value, unused: 10v postage, $35; 5v air post , $22, 5v postage due, $14. Covers, scarce and all philatelic, exist to foreign destinations."

The rest of the stamps are from a set from 1950 that was not officially released. It commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Postal Union. It appears to be unlisted in Scott, with no notes that I saw.

The Michel Gulf States Catalog (2013-latest version)
is not much help here...

Everything is unpriced except a full set of imperfs, which is priced as 35.- Euros (MNH).
That is, for Michel Numbers 114B-121B

The comment in Michel is "It is most doubtful that MiNos. 114-121 are regular issues."

(1948 Admission to UN Issue)

Perforated 12x6
Unsure of number, unable to find so far
Unable to find value so far
My picture show 1 of regular postage and 1 of airmail.

Michel only gives perf as 12.5 (Mi. 99 is the 1/2B - Mi. 103 is the 6B - both are regular
issues. Unpriced in the catalog except for complete set (Mi. 99-113) of 15 values (perforated 12.5) which is 35.- Euros (MNH).

The comment in Michel is "It is doubtful that MiNos. 99-113 are regular issues.
However, covers with stamps from this issue are known to exist."
