Can anyone confirm the meaning of the word DOUBLE in the Canada Precancel catalogue. I attach a photograph of what I believe to be the standard…..does DOUBLE mean 2 sets of lines ?
To me, doubling always meant that you could see clearly that the overprint had been done twice. In this one from Regina both passes are poorly registered but it is very clear that two runs have been made.
