So after a little break due to covid stress, hurricane ida clean up and general stuff...., I've started back on some piles. In sorting some stamps laying around I came across the below and it got me wondering. 1940 date of issue and 1975 date of cancel. Seems like a long time to be laying around. Whats the longest span between issue and cancellation you have in your collection?

Probably the oldest stamp I've seen on incoming mail in recent years is the Battle of White Plains commemorative from 1926 (Scott #629), but it wasn't postmarked.
