Hello,

Thank you for the great community. I know NOTHING about stamp collecting or associated value and forums like this are great. What better way for someone like me to get info!

I found a few old postcards at a thrift store my Mom likes to visit. I bought them because it's fascinating having anything over 100 years old. In my little bit of research I see values range tremendously from $20-2,000. I'm sure it's based on rarity, condition, etc.

Where/what would be the best way to value these? I'll probably keep one and sell the rest since I know someone else would appreciate them more than I could.

I know this isn't the "for sale" section and that's not what I'm trying to do. I sort of need to determine a fair value before I can sell then.

Thanks in advance,

Casey

Welcome
The Franklin stamps you show are worth only pennies each; they printed over 11 billion of them. The postcards themselves probably have more value and occasionally an interesting postmark (cancel) can increase market values.
More information on these stamps can be found here https://stampsmarter.org/1847usa/19...ntifier.html
