I have started using double sided tape instead of hinges.

From a long-term archival standpoint, this sounds like a recipe for disaster.

3193zd, unless this was a relative, I seriously doubt they were part of the Dennison empire, now Avery/Avery Dennison. For one, Dennison was a manufacturer and as far as I know did not do retail except maybe before the Civil War. If this Dennison's major claim to fame was rubber stamps, that implies they were a local or regional business. Nice touch using a rubberstamped corner card, but if this cover dates from later than about 1880, Dennison was a very large corporation at that point and wouldn't be doing something like that.

Dennison was essentially a manufacturer of paper products, not stationery store products in general. So I would think rubber stamps would be outside their interests. A Dennison script logo goes back to at least 1901 from a check on Google images, and that's not used here.

A 1901 Watertown city directory gives A.S. and Mary C. as the Watertown business owners, with additional listings as a job and repair shop and locksmith.

Hi Hy-Brasil, Yes Albert S. Dennison was the owner of the store. Birth. 11 Aug 1851 Liberty Township, Trumbull County, Ohio, United States of America. He invented the waterproof paper bag and Improvement in Galvanic Horseshoe-Pads. Not sure if he is related to the famous Dennisons. this cover is from 1884-1894.
