It certainly looks like a miss-registration to me. I don't see the doubling in any of the colors.

There are three for sale on ebay now. I assumed they were doubled until I looked. This one is mine and I would be surprised if the listing lasted long in the catalogue. Somewhere someone will want a certificate for this. It should be interesting.

The Canada Booklet 80
I would like to show you an example of a "cameo doubled: (color shift) where a $1.25 item becomes $1.50. But good shifts, like VF XF stamps are worth more. How strange we(I) look for flaws, not to cull them, like in most collections, but to value them.

The normal Unitrade BK80 is supposed to look almost like this example here.

The two 17c queen stamps within this booklet are supposed to look like this:

But a really nice "cameo doubled" would look like this.

Since this is a shift, (caused by the color green being shifted right, left, up, or down) there are lots and lots of slight "shifts". So, if you are looking for a good one, be assured that they exist but that they may be rather rare this clear.

And to add wood to the fire, here are a few that really sting.

I don't think anyone would be happy to see this either. Except...

Could someone show me examples of doctor/ductor blade flaws? Are they on all types of stamps? Can they be thin or wide? Are there good articles I could read?

Can anyone help explain these flaws? Are any of these caused by the doctor blade?
My first thought is that some may be caused by static electricity because of the shape of the flaws. I am open to guesses and/or knowledge.

bk80, your booklet appears to show an interesting flaw in the upper left stamp, the blue 1 cent. A horizontal line goes through the text CANADA. And something else is happening just below the text.

Hello Germania,
Here are some close-ups.
I think this might be called a kiss-print? Not sure.

I don't know how to stitch them together yet.

On bk80's "CAN" close-up pic, I am seeing the blotches as dogs moving from left to right. Interesting illusion.

Interesting. Looks like a spill of taggant. Wish I had a better explanation. I think the tagging may be considered a color and is applied like any other color. Maybe someone can explain how it might spill like this.

steve123 - please show the stamp without the UV lamp as I don't think that the tagging is the same colour as the possible tagging error.

Earlier, BK 80 asked:

There is an earlier thread that has a small example of a Canadian Ductor Blade Flaw:

Thank you Partime. I have read and re-read these posts on the doctor blade. I noticed that you participated quite a bit. They are informative yet I still have questions and this is why I posted the above green 17c queen stamps. My questions from above are still unanswered because the top one has multiple lines and yes they are in straight lines, so maybe this is caused by a doctor blade.
The middle stamp has what looks like a big checkmark and the bottom one looks like a spill that affects the grey print under the green which is also affected.

The underlying reason for my questions is that I am interested in preparing a display and I would love to explain what caused the craziness on the exhibited items. There are so many knowledgeable philatelists visiting this site and so many more pages to read. I still have lots to learn

Thank you for responding.
