I just sold my entire US collection. Collecting is part of me so I am switching to Canada. I need recommendations for a good album, 1851-1969
Not necessary to be hingeless.

Hi there - I didn't know if you would take this seriously or not. I have had this unused album for years. I always thought only someone from Great Britain would want a Canadian album that uses the SG numbering system. Allow me to send you an e-mail (PM) for more info.

There should be little practical problem. Scott's odd numbering system chiefly involves the separation of air-mail and charity stamps. There are relatively few of the former and even fewer - if any - of the latter from Canada, so it shouldn't be too taxing.

Scott, Unitrade, Palo, Lighthouse, SAFE, Schaubek, Davo, Harris, Lindner, KA-BE, Jacques Cartier, CWS, White Ace, van Dam (for revenues). Some are hingeless, some not. What's your budget? What's your aesthetic? How deep are you looking to go?

I'm a White Ace album fan...prefer new. Canada 1851-1969. But other albums would also work. Scott because it would have catalog numbers. Prefer low cost. Would need pages and binder.

Gosh, those are horrible. Are they designed for children?

That's OK - I'm currently reliving my childhood with DVD boxed sets of The Avengers and The Man from Uncle.

If you live in the USA, then ignore Stanley Gibbons. Much better to use Scott #'s. I would recommend Unitrade Catalogue, as it is the Canadian Specialists Catalogue.

I would also save money and use Steiner pages, thereby allowing you to spend more on stamps. Personally, I collect plate blocks, so I make each page myself, which is another way to go. In my 40 years of collecting, I have never spent a dime on an album.
