Is there an authoritative source which keeps track of how many of the purposeful "error" sheets have been publicly accounted for....like a tally?

Does anyone here know if there are still any "error" sheets unaccounted for?

To my knowledge, no one was forced to say that they found one, so there is no way of knowing how many might be sitting in bank vaults where only the finder knows about them. The USPS would announce that one had been found only if the finder told them.

I am still buying these in the hope that all the deliberate errors haven't been found yet.

Did the USPS re-issue a second batch of the $2 anniversary Inverted Jenny sheet? The reason I ask is because I remember in like 2014 the USPS was sold out of them (if I remember correctly).......but today you can buy the sheets direct from the USPS website. If it is a re-issued batch, am I correct to assume that none of them would be intentionally inverted because in the first issue, 100 were already inverted?

No.

On or about September 2019 the USPS recalled all unsold Inverted Jenny Sheets (packages) from all US Post Offices with those returned being sent to the caves for ordering via Stamp Fulfillment Service. The plan is and remains to sell them until there are no more left to be sold. All first run, all with a possible right-side up-inverted invert all remaining to be sold sitting in the caves.

The are various Linn's articles on the matter.

Alas, most of us have no use for a $2 postage stamp for our mailings, unless we're using Priority or Express Mail a lot. However, that could change in the near future at the rate U.S. postage is increasing.

As of May 2020 according to Linn's, only 35 of the 100 have been reported as found. I swear I heard someone on a podcast a few years ago saying someone walked into an office at the usps HQ and saw like 20 of the rare sheets sitting on a desk and not randomly inserted into the stacks of the inverted issues. I can't find any info on line to support that recollection. I'd like to know how many of the 2.2 million sheets are unsold. Just seems like a $26 million money grab by the usps. Why not wait until 2018 for the 100th anniversary? So weird to do it on the 95th.

I bought two sheets three weeks ago…no joy. Once you start regularly sending covers that are more than 1/4" thick and rated as first class parcels, the $2 value comes in handy. I used two on a parcel to a friend last week, and he emailed me to ask if they were real …

Played the Unverted Jenny lottery a couple of weeks ago. No luck. I'll use the stamps as postage when forwarding APS sales circuits.
