Selection Stamps: The idea behind these, were that you selected the item of choice from a page of stamps, ripped out the desirables and attached the stamps to the order sheet, and mailed back the form to the distributor.
These are only for the hard core Cinderella collector, those with good strength of character and a very thick skin.
I dare say, however, in 100 years time, if we are still around and consuming oil and resources, these will be highly desirable as a spotlight on what we read and listened to in the 1950's and 60's.

I bet that was some production David I hope it was captured on film.
I remember the film for three things, as a young lad, I thought Mitzi Gaynor was hot! I couldn't understand why a gal would want to "wash a man out of her hair" ? and the propaganda preamble to the film advertising the wonder of "Todd AO", had the camera mounted on a roller coaster carriage, and a troopers motorcycle, which actually made me feel quite sick I had to cover my eyes.

That's it Nigel. I bought my first ever vinyl, via that route. Sent away, (ripped the tag off) I can still recall the smell of the record, when I took it out the sleeve. ( I was 13 yo I think)
Colombia I think it was, America and American goods then were the wonder of the world.
The record? "The Batchelors" (That music would last for 12 months, until "The Beach Boys" arrived)
