Very curious to know if any of you may have new insight on a "longtime stamp dealer living in upstate New York" who, per this 2007 article, scammed MANY buyers of classic stamps on ebay:

Hard to believe - 20 years ago I thought something could be done about fraud on ebay. Wrong!

Something could be done. A conscious decision was made IMO to not do much of anything and to end relationships with the collector community that were bearing fruit in identifying and combatting fraud. Why? $$$$$
