Hello

I got this stamp recently and I can't identify it. I don't know if it is a stamp at all. I don't even know if it isn't upside down!!

Can anybody help me? Thank you!

I hope I can
It is a Revenue stamp from Turkiye.
Newsprint and posters

The stamp was adhered to Newsprint, THEN printed with news
so you can see part of the newsprint on the stamp...cool eh?

I'll dig into my album and post further...

You may wish to go to STAMPSMARTER and look at the Forbin Catalogue there

It is listed under Turkey / Turkiye

Is there no end to your knowledge Rod?
I read your posts and am always amazed at the width and depth of your knowledge.
Maybe because I only collect US Classic. But still a stunning display of learned contributions.
Folk like you make the forum work. Along with Mr. Bobby and Mr. Kirks and Mr. Studebaker, etc. etc....
Cheers mark

Mark, cheers,
I can only thank Bill Gates and the millions whom contributed to
our present IT state.

With the file explorer XYPlorer I can regurgitate information at will.

As I get more advanced in years, (As all you gals and fellas will)
I find the task, ever more frustrating.

I had a time yesterday, recalling the term "Galvanised tin"
took me 3-4 minutes before the word popped up.
Getting old is a lot of fun (not)

Now where did I put my tongs?.............
