Colour are a pain, I just group them together
Closer to blue, closer to grey and blush grey are the three I go with.

JUST FELLA --- I started saving and mounting shades and differences in color back in 1967-1969 . My guess is that those fellow club members who specialised in Germany were the ones who told me the importance of saving the shades back then .

I am guessing were I picked that up . Years later when the Scott Specialised Catalog came out I was already ahead of the game . Over the years I continued with this ,no I don't have over 100 different foreign catalogs to confirm all the shades I have mounted . I leave that to be determined by the next collector who purchases my collection weather those shades are valid .

I will tell you ,100 years before I started the shade stuff , that Philpp Von Ferrary was doing it in his collection, so I feel i'am in good company.

It's a good idea!
I'm just not sure how I would determine what's a shade with so many factors to consider.
If it's a big difference, I'll set it off from the rest but still keep them all together.

the example of the #84 posted above…
Maury shows the bleu de prusse looking way different then the one being sold.

Maybe it's just the images but I don't see the similarities
