Repaired and beat up, still I couldn't pass it up. Never have another chance to buy a used 39 that I can afford.

Thanks guys. Can't wait for it to get delivered. I never thought I'd get one. Then I came across it a few days ago. $250 reserve price so I covered that and surprisingly nobody went over me. It comes from a well respected dealer so I didn't have too many worries but of course inspection will be needed when I get it. I had my bid up to $400 but I'll take the lower lol

Just got my stamp in hand! Super excited. Pretty rough repair but spot filled. What to do with something like this? Would it be worth sending for authentication or would they just damaged and not authenticate it? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Not interested in selling just checking the cancel is legit

The certificate cost for a used Scott 39 might be a bit prohibitive. I'm not aware of any of the authenticating organizations being willing to reduce the cert fee based on a stamp's condition. But that doesn't mean that they won't. Maybe someone who knows for certain will respond.
