One more oddball and I'll call it a night.

I guess these are the possibilities:

Genuine, ink batch or discoloration
Proof or Essay, but genuinely postally used
Proof or Essay, with fake cancel

I have a feeling this is an easy one, but let me know what you've got.

It is a "changeling". This issue is prone to ending up like this when stored improperly. I have had a number of them with the same color problem.

Seeing no objection I'm taking that to mean people agree. It's the answer I hoped for but I do wonder what changes a gray stamp to green. But if that's the answer I'll be happy with it.
