I'm trying to see a Yokohama "chop" vs a Nagasaki "chop" cancel. Would like to find some pictures. Apparently Skinner did some work on this topic - something by him would be ideal. But anything that has images would be great. Thanks in advance.

These are called bota cancels. There are two major types, with some variation since the devices didn't last very long.

I left out the "on US stamps" part of the description. Fixed it. These cancels look like Xs maybe caligraphic Xs. But just X. Thanks.
