Hi Tony and Rod, on filatelia&francobolli forum (lafilatelia.it/forum) we spoke about these stamps. There is a distinction to do. Stamps Sassone 1-4 are semi-official (they celebrated victory of polish soldiers in Italy), these stamps were issued with a decree law and had polish currency (zloty). These stamps, however, was rejected by allied forces only a month after them was issued. A few letters franked with these stamps are known and many of these are dubious. The stamps showed here, instead, are stamps issued by anonimous. There is not a decree law nether any authority that issued them. They have currency in italian lire and they are not known on letter. They hadn't any postal effectiveness. If you want to read the discussion on italian forum go to lafilatelia.it/forum and search for "Poczta osiedli polskich". The first result is the right onte. Regards Fabio (and sorry for my english)
