Hi all,
I'm a new community member from Italy.
I've been collecting stamps since I was 10.
Principal fields of my collection are the following ones:
-Italian Area (Kingdom of Italy, Italian colonies and occupations, Italian Republic, Trieste)
-Astronautics theme (only USSR and USA)
-Sheets and blocks of USSR
-ASFE (A Stamp For Every nation) collection, level 3

Cheers,

urkunde1

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example.
I collect for enjoyment, not investment.

urkunde1.

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ

PS: Experienced (used) stamps are best on cover

Hi,

To reply to:

The idea of dividing ASFE collection in various "levels" was an idea proposed by a senior member of an italian forum related to ASFE collection.

To summarize, the proposed levels are defined as:
-Level 1: it corresponds to the list of all existing and recognized world nations
-Level 2: Lev.1 + all "dead" countries + all various colonies
-Level 3: Lev 1 + Lev 2 + all entities listed in official world catalogues indexes (e.g. Scott etc.). By doing so, all occupations and some local issues are included within this level.
- Level 4: Lev 1+Lev 2+ Lev3 + all other locals stamps + local couriers+ railway stamps
-Level 5: all previous levels + modern U.S. locals + phantom stamps + local overprints from Belgium, Pakistan and India + British Scout and Christmas post
- Level 6: all previous levels +other relevant local overprints (e.g. due to currency change etc)

Hope it clarifies
