I am puzzled by the reference to Michel as having listings for only a few countries. I have the Michel postal stationary catalogs for East (2004/05) and West (2003/4) Europe, which covers pretty much all of Europe apart from Germany, for which they have a separate catalog. Later editions divide Europe up differently. but still appears to cover all of Europe.

I can show an older Postal Stationery catalog, which may be of interest to some. The cover is in sad shape but the rest is quite decent. This is Volume 2; I don't know what Volume 1 would have included.

Rather than start a new topic relating to this thread, is there a worldwide catalog that one can use to identify stationery and wrappers, as opposed to a country specific catalog. I would like to identify the ones I have and they span from South America, Europe, Asia and Australia, to name a few. A consistent catalog numbering system and identification is what I am most interested in, current value is secondary. Thanks.

Version 1.4 of the e-catalog The Postal Stationery of Nicaragua, authored by me, is available for anyone to download free. It was published July 15, 2023, ten days ago.

Here is the link:

I tried the link, and it works for me.

It reads 'catalogue [with] current prices of postage stamps.' The subtitle suggests that part one will be the main stamps listing. Below picture appears to confirm that.

Moens was the first to issue a stamp catalogue
