Please help me identify this grill. I struggle with this. I believe this is a US 88. Is it correctly identified on the back?

As said many times before, ignore pencil notes on back. It's obviously wrong here.

Yes, it is 88, E grill. Nice stamp!

A cert would cost more than the stamp is worth.

Looks unused to me. Cat on #88 unused ng in 2021 cat was $350. Could be worth a cert to be sure everything checks out,(perfs, used/unused, grill) .

Send it to the PF for their discount rate.

I agree that it looks unused. I suppose I could/should have said maybe the cert will cost more than the stamp is worth. The last unused ng #88 on ebay sold for $30. It is debatable how much better a cert would have improved that realization. The OP stamp is definitely a little better centered. In general, I'm not in favor of promoting the idea of sending in stamps on a gamble that it was worth it.

It really should be looked at under UV to determine whether it really is unused.
