It's a six-hour drive for me, and I'm in a conference on the 15th and driving to Sydney on the 17th, so have fun Harry! |

Thanks Dave I sent a fly-er to you in the mail,it also has the dates of one show in November oh by the way it's a 6 hour drive for me too that's with smoke breaks on the way down there (I don't smoke in my house or my car) so I stop on the side of the road to have one. |

While I do live in an area replete with wonderful place names derived or corrupted from Lenape (local Native American) words like Maxatawny, Ountelaunee (Maiden Creek), Tulpehocken (Land of the Turtle) and Rappahannock, I am always envious of Australian place names!
I mean, who wouldn't want a postmark from Wagga Wagga?

John and David when I arrive in Wagga Wagga I'll see if the post office is open on Saturday morning if it is I'll get them to cancel the stamps on both envelope's (that I over franked ) and send them on,if not I'll drop the covers in the mail and hope for the best,by the way I have included an Aussie S/S in both letters that I'm sending plus a set-tenant block. regards Harry |

Sorry Phil I left just after I posted that last post on this thread, I passed a coin table to see John from Pittwater philatelic's and had a look at his stock,he had a first watermark 1913 5/- roo that I picked up as well as some s/sheets also some single stamps that I needed including a CSA #4,I then had a look around the tables(coin and stamp)but I mainly concentrated on the stamp tables,at another table I found a second watermark 5/- roo(which is very hard to get)that was at the right price and now sits in pride of place in my album. Then on to the other benches for supplies that included FDC holders,mounts(A4 size)as well as 3 packets X 29mm mounts, spoon and shovel nose tweezers so in all I did well, now I have hours of enjoyment ahead of me . regards Harry |
