I'm trying to discover if some of Scroll Issue 154 8 cents would come with straight edges on the left hand side..or wether what I've got have been cut.

UL pane of 100 stamps with straight edges on the right and bottom sides.

Actually what Jogil shows is the upper left of the sheet. So the right side of that sheet will have straight edges on the left side. You can see 1/2 of the guideline arrows on the top right and bottom left.

Of course, I've got my silly head on.
According to one of the blogs I've just been reading do the sheets come in 400 and are cut into 4

Yes, for this denomination the sheets of 400 stamps are divided into 4 panes of 100 stamps with straight edges.
