I have been trying for a few months now to leave the outfit known as Hipstamps/Hippostcards and to discontinue paying them a monthly charge for once being a member there, I am very frustrated with that outfit...I have called numerous times to their number (916-646-5320) to withdraw from them, and every time I get the same automated message telling me that if I leave my phone number they will return the call. They never do. Do's anybody know how to permanently remove this unwanted site, and their billing every month by them. I am fed up with their lack of response to my messages... all they do is bill me over and over again for each passing month. I have never bought anything from them and I never will. Richard

What are they billing you for? I have been buying on and off for years and never got any kind of bill?

Scotty, you must have signed up for having the store subscription as a seller at some point. That is the only thing they charge for monthly - they don't charge buyers. To cancel the store sub, sign in to the site using your login credentials, go the the Store tab, and click the "Cancel Store Subscription" button.
If that doesn't work for you, choose the "Need Help" option at the bottom right of the screen, and the "Send Us a Message" option to communicate with their support folks.

They are incorporated in Delaware as Hip Ecommerce, Inc., and subject to US rules of the Federal Reserve Board concerning recurring card charges. In addition to gmot's suggestion, you can email them at support (at) hipecommerce.com, an address given in their terms and conditions, identify yourself and your account, and state "Pursuant to Federal Reserve Regulation E, any authorization I have previously given to charge any credit card associated with my account is hereby revoked." All US entities are subject to Federal Reserve Reg E, which permits written revocation in many forms. If they fail to act, plaintiffs' class action lawyers will be interested.
No consumer should tolerate recurring card charges without ongoing consent.
And dispute the charge with your card issuer. |

Usually it has to be in writing and signed to be valid as verbal is no good. I tried to stop a us subscription once and was informed it has to be in writing. I asked the credit card company to stop payments and they refused and would not stop recurring charge until it was done and about 30 day notice given. They wanted proof first that notice was given. |

This is why companies want auto-pay and one should never agree to auto-pay. At one time cancelling your credit card would stop auto-pay charges but even that stopped due to lobbying pressure on the card companies from the auto-pay vendors. A card issuer will not close your account until the auto-pay charges stop coming. Quote: How Do I Get Rid Of Hipstamps Site There are these: listed for sale. |

If you did cancel your card the issuer will automatically send new card info to the vendor. Extremely frustrating. |

From: https://www.hipstamp.com/terms"Termination "Termination By You. You may terminate your account at any time, by contacting Hip eCommerce and requesting that your account be terminated. Love the missile idea. If only they had one that discreetly targeted their spam capabilities as well as recurring billing. |
