Hi everyone.

Just to introduce myself as a Machin specialist collector from Yorkshire in England.
I've been collecting seriously for over 30 years, having reignited my boyhood passion for the hobby. It's led to thousands of hours and probably thousands of £s being spent on amassing a collection.

I've enjoyed reading posts on here but finally decided to participate on the forum when I came across the wonderful Machin-inspired issue by Canada Post for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, the first time Canada has used this iconic image of the Queen on a postage stamp and thus becomes, I believe, only the fourth country outside the UK to adopt this image for a domestic issue. It's a truly impressive issue, too, beautifully designed with excellent typography - classic yet modern.

I've left a post in the 'Canada' thread of the forum so if anyone can answer my query I'd be grateful.

All the best with your personal collecting!

OldAlbion.

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ
