Yes, there are, relatively pure, but some are impure; emerald comes to mind...

I collect rocks, too. Incidentally, older stamps that are mint never-hinged have been described as "gems".

I never bothered with restoring this 1-cent blue, which has always been an MNG since I've had it, until yesterday...

The seemingly green hue overall, afforded by the gum remaining within the stamp's body, is gone...
