I buy 3000 at a time, not experienced discoloured, as you, but certainly huge range of quality of presentation, some are very badly folded, creased, etc.
I have assumed these are problems with the conditions held by the "on-sellers"
if stored in humid environments, anything could eventuate.
Discoloured should be returned for refund.
