For this year's Mountain Flora coil, what is the commonly-collected plate strip size, 5 stamps, more? Multi-design coil issues always leave me wondering about that.
If history is any teacher, the answer for number of coils in a strip is not settled for years. But the upper limit tries to keep the strip size such that fits on an album page for mounting.
EDIT: It is best to over-collect the strip size and reduce it later when the issue is settled.
Most PNC collectors keep their strips as PS5's ( Plate Strips of 5 ). This means that the most common way to collect an issue with four different designs is to keep the plate numbered stamp in the middle. This also means that there will be two Alpine Buttercups in the strip, one on each end.
Thank you. Procrastination to the rescue. The strip of 30 I have has been sitting on my desk a couple weeks, and I'd not yet trimmed it. I assume in a PS9 the plate number stamp is in the middle, as with other PS lengths. Now where did my scissors go?
