Useless facts.
The central sitting Letter carrier (In the photo) , is the most conscientious of the group.

How do I know?
He "spit polishes" his shoes.

(Memories from my Naval College)
One takes a rag, wraps it around the index finger, takes a small swipe of boot polish, then spits on the toe of the shoe.

Rubbing gently in a circular fashion, the boot polish will gradually build up,
eventually to a mirror finish, takes hours.

Been there, done that

He probably did the least 'real' work - very good at shining his shoes but not too keen on doing the hard work that has scuffed the others!
