Hi, I have inherited a stamp collection in the UK. I don't think there is anything really special, I am trying to not get sucked into the rabbit hole of collecting as I don't have the time. Where would be the best place to sell off the albums there are about 7 nice ones. I was thinking ebay but really have no clue how to go about it
There are many stamp auctions in the UK, who sell everything stamps, from the cheapest to the expensive! There are also many stamp fairs across the country with dealers [some auctioneers as well] who will value and purchase/auction collections. It depends on the quality of your material and your location. As a guide if the original collector spent £ on it it at auctions it may have value, if the collector took stamps off envelopes from the post it may not have much value
Good luck with your efforts. It would not be surprising to find out the real value in your collection lies in memories of time spend with its owner. Think about keeping it for now.
pictures here would help, I think 10% of estimated catalogue is realistic today. You need to be realistic in terms of who might be buying a collection.
