Hi Don,
I'll shoot an email off to Ron Lafreniere, (Bird Bear Press) see if he knows of it.

Hi Rod & Don:
Not my area of expertise but if I had to guess I'd say it was a regular postage stamp added to a cheque (to show that a fee had been paid), and the handstamp indicates a bank in Toronto, likely the Imperial Bank of Canada. The "No Protest" is seen on these types of cancellations and indicates "Instructions given to a collecting bank not to protest a specific item in the event of non payment or non acceptance."

Great solution Ron
Thanks for your prompt response.

I had the Imperial Bank of Canada, but was looking elsewhere
thinking 'No Protest' had no relation to a bank..
