Hi all!
I've recently been delving into my collection of Belgium and for the life of me, I cannot seem to track down a resource on postal rates for domestic mail in Belgium! I don't have any specific covers at this time that I need help with, I'm mostly identifying cancels on individual stamps, but I am immensely curious as to the rates throughout this 100 year period. I have found the following books by searching the APRL catalog, but they seem to be international airmail rates only:

all three by Walter Major, pub. 2001 in French in Ostende.

I did however seem to find a book that is not in any library system I currently have access to, and I wonder if anyone on this web forum may have access to this title:

"Tarifs Postaux Intérieures 1849-1987" by E & M Deneumostier, pub. 1987

The two Deneumostiers seem to have authored a load of books on Belgian Philately, and very few appear in the library systems I have access to. I fear this may be a rare book now, and I will have to continue my search for rates along some other lines.

Thank you for any help!

Postal rates from 1870 can be found here

https://www.scribd.com/document/250...naf-1870-pdf

Besides the French language book you mention there is an equally scarce Flemish/Dutch equivalent De Posttarieven van België sinds 1879 by F. Somers and F. Peeters (2008)

The Denoumostier book will have what you want. Maybe the APS library?
I'll try to put a post up later (after Christmas) on the early Belgian internal letter rates.

The scribd link above is subscriber only but I have seen that document in the past somewhere else. I may even have a copy archived somewhere.

Page 33 of Richard Frajola's display is helpful for the 1849 rates:

There may be some rates information here:

Auction catalogues can be helpful too:
