Could someone please coment a Canadian stamp in my collection, 2 cents,1903 issue ,with a detail resembling very much a watermark.
The normal grain on the wove paper that is running in the vertical
direction made from random white dots is clearly visible .
But some of those dots are in a linear pattern with a specific point shape in the middle of the stamp. Could this be a watermark?
As I'm not an expert on this subject l can not say whether this is watermark or not. Could this be a stamp, from the type- "stitch watermark"mentioned in some of the cataloges ?
