Does anyone know how I might contact Paul W. Schmid or if he is still around? Paul worked for American Bank Note Co. in the 1980s and 90s, then bought Colorano in 1995. He apparently sold it around 2018. I have a few questions regarding ABNC collector products that I think he might be able to answer.

I think it's been sold twice since Schmid owned it. But if you have contact info for Ray Novak, could you send me an email? He might still be in touch.

As of February 2020 he was still around. From time to time he sells PDF versions of his Expert's Book on E-Bay for $50.00 postpaid. I have four copies of the CD should anyone be interested. These are official PDFs and not pirated copies.

I sent him a letter to the address that Bill supplied. We'll see if he's interested in corresponding.

I digitized Paul's books for him and periodically make more CD/DVDs for him when his supply gets low. My last communications with him was on 10/14/2020.

RE: printing process.

Well, maybe instructions on how the cachets were made were what was sold. There is nothing special about the processes. The frame on the envelopes is done by hot foil stamping. The image part is normal printing on self-stick fabric used for "Hi. My name is" badges. Those images were probably applied by hand.
