I picked up this item described as "5fr, four stages of frame, imperf singles cut from artist die proof." I thought it was pretty neat, but now I am wondering if it has any real-world value. Any ideas / comments?

Basically, such proofs sell for whatever you can get for them. There is no set price for these. Topicals will have more competition and so will bring higher prices.

These appear to be what are called black prints, proofs of the different component printing plate designs, on normal paper here. If indeed cut from artist die proofs (I don't think these were), collectors would much prefer the original state including full margins all around.
