I'm thankful we get mail at our house 6 days a week.
Imagine dealing with a situation like this.

There are lots of us dealing with that
and dealing with that, with understanding and empathy.

There's covid, rampant inflation, due vacations, staff shortages,
and a USPS running at a loss.

Complaining about not getting mail 6 days a week ?

Complaining without proposing a resolution is called whining.

The nerve of people to expect the USPS function as well as FedEx or UPS. Don't they know that they should lower their expectations for government services while constantly paying more.

Neither FedEx nor UPS will deliver anything for the price of a first class stamp. Not by a long shot.

I would be elated if USPS would deliver my mail once a week. I live in Florida and the USPS refuses to deliver any mail to any residents to the island I live on. Instead, they provide a free PO Box. To their credit, UPS and FedEx also will not deliver either.

This is not about price though, is it? The reasons given have to do with having no personnel to perform the task. Hmmmm

So, if USPS charged $10 to deliver your junk mail it would be there every day? But I thought that they charged a break even amount in theory to perform the service. So many questions.

And UPS and FedEx aren't working all that great these days either.

At our little PO here (also in Maine) they've got terrible staffing issues. One position has been posted for three years. The Postmaster is really good about putting up notices on our community FB page letting us know on particular days that the counter won't be open.

We used to live in Hardwick, Mass. There are 2600 people and they have three zip codes and post offices!

Jack - Small world! I spent a lot of time as a young man hiking in Quabbin. I now live in the Berkshires. All beautiful. Hardwick is a gorgeous place.
