This might be a dumb question, but it looks like our vacation plans might fall through and my wife and I figured we might head off to Las Vegas for a weekend in October. We'd heard on the podcast Stamp Show Here Today that there was an October 7-9 show and we were interested in attending, but I can't find a single mention of it online, not on the APS listings, the iStamp listings, etc. I sent a message to the folks at Stamp Show Here Today and haven't gotten a response yet, I was wondering if anyone else has heard if the show is still on, where it's held, etc.?
Speaking of Vegas, curious why the APS hasn't selected the area for one of its stamp shows. Obviously the big strip hotels would be expensive either for renting space for the show or for attendees staying. But I assume there are plenty of smaller venues/hotels in the area that might be suitable. And, of course, plenty of shows, eating and gambling available. I remember they held one of their winter shows in Reno (managed to get food poisoning while there at my hotel, not at the show) which is a pale shadow of Vegas.
In Linn's there is listing for the Southern Nevada Stamp Show in Las Vegas on October 7-8th at the Mountain's Edge Market Place, 8015 Blue Diamond Road #120. Hours 10am-4pm.
I'm sure that's it. I did check their website earlier, but says all meetings have been suspended and nothing at all about an actual show. It's run by the same people who do the podcast. Hopefully I'll get a response from them directly, but we'll have to see.
