In 1973 the Queen made two official tours to Canada.
Between June 25 to July 5 QEII traveled across Canada
on the Royal Train stopping at various cities and towns
in Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Prince Edward Island.
She participated in various events marking the R.C.M.P. centennial,
the centennial of P.E.I. in Confederation and the tercentenary of Kingston.

have them cancelled in Ottawa.
Queen Elizabeth returned on July 31 1973 for the
Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting
at Rideau Hall, Ottawa.
This time 2 stamps were issued, based on a photograph
by Anthony Buckley and engraved by George Arthur Gundersen.
