I am familiar with the Toronto experimental coils and hairlines. I do have a few hairlines in my collection. However, my question was pertaining to the regular sheet stamps of the 1 cent green Admiral (Scott / Unitrade #104).
From what I have been seeing in different websites I think I am getting a clearer idea what the 'gripper cracks' are.
