Peter, mine just arrived too - ESG is a great publication. The forum got a good plug complete with the URL, so maybe a few new members will pop in! |

I work in the music industry, and so I'm sensitive to copyright issues. I won't post articles without the author's permission, and in this case, since I'm a study group member, I'd rather see people join it, for just this very reason - to gain from the knowledge in the study group newsletter.
(I'll still ask if it can be posted here...if only an abridged version.)

Thanks Bee See!
I will add those in to the database and post that. I am worrying that the list is getting a touch long and will not split properly (?) when a full page has been reached here. My have to split it myself when it reaches a certain point.
I have received permission from Robin Harris (author of the Corgi Times article) to share ONLY the data of the control numbers and cylinder numbers that are in a list in that article. I will add those in to the database here also. He says that some of that data was taken from here (with my permission).
Fun fun.

That's great, Puzzler. I have not had a chance to send Robin a note. That's a reasonable response from him to be sure. Peter

Very interesting Timbres. I checked the dozens I have, and did not find any traces of offsets of the engraving on the back. |

Hello Timbres! Welcome! I have yet to look at my booklets to see if any have a 'kiss print' offset printing. I don't remember any just scanning through them but did not look thoroughly. Now I will. Thanks for posting. You can delete your second post there (it took me a long time to find out this!) by using one of the buttons above the post (only you and the admin). Good for the double posting which I have been known to do also. edit: already deleted, I am sitting here snoozing while the world passes by! I have more numbers to add to the list on page 5 page 1, this time from Montreal, and must check through my notes to see if I have missed any others. I notice Bee See has made available an Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to download of these numbers on his web site: http://brcstamps.com/ with a nice link back to this topic also. |

Timbres, by the way, what electronic microscope do you have, if I may ask? Did you buy it in Canada? On ebay? Is it easy to use, etc, etc. |

Hi Puzzler, I have the electronic microscope "QX3" from Digital blue... it's a microscope for child... but if you cut out the sound, he doe the job and it's very easy to use. I buy it on the net from a US dealer and I saw the microscope regularly on ebay and other auction. When I buy it (from a publicity in "American philatelist" 5 or 6 years ago) I paid 100.00$US in special instead of 199.00US, You can still find it for this price... I know there is others model from Digital Blues The QX5 and the "Smithsonien" more for adult use, but what is the price ????? hope I give you the int you want, contact me if you need more information (Sorry for my limited english) |

Timbres, Quote: (all of these black numbers are lower position and the high is varying ) Did you mean that the Blue cylinder numbers, which are printed higher in the margin (selvedge) than the 6-digit control numbers, are varying? |
