And both hy the same bidder at exactly 6 seconds before the end-of-auction too. I can't do that with dial up!
The person bidding must be drinking lots of coffee or have paid a service to bid so close to the mark. Wow. I know one guy who says he has timed it and made it a science to get in at the last possible second. Quite impressive anyhow you look at it.

I have high speed Internet and I never bid on an item before 40 seconds left on the auction so that I can re-bid if someone overbid's me near the end. |

Puzzler, regarding those totals of the marine life stamps you mention used for FDC's, the quantities used for the quarterly packs and the Year Album will have to be considered. I wonder how many of those collections are produced...

Hi Puzzler, got another serial# for you to add to the list - 038647 in Calgary, on lower side with the narrow tab at left. Cheers |

Of course if you thought $40 was a lot for a Serial# and Cylinder 2, how do you like $68.89 for the next one in the sequence.... |

First number added (043195) to the growing list of serial or control (Swedish = KN Kontrol) Numbers that originated from the Canada Post Philatelic Centre in Antigonish, NS. Also a Blue 1 came from there. Thanks to ebay seller hostam3. |

Booklet with serial number 000001 has been found!A Quebec collector has reported this, from an unspecified city. The booklet also has the blue cylinder No 2. I was wondering if this one would fall in a collector's hands, or end up as postage by a non-collector. Now we know! Here is an image: Edit: The city of purchase is now confirmed as Beauport, QC. |

Cool ! Number added to list. 258 numbers so far. Amazing what you can do with such a relatively small sampling, how patterns appear.
I had a thought that perhaps the Swedish booklets, using the same numbering system as the Canada booklets do, were printed at the same time and have the missing numbers? Hiding behind my stamp album, incoming!
Of course, this kind of reasoning comes from having such a small sample of numbers. |

Quote: I had a thought that perhaps the Swedish booklets, using the same numbering system as the Canada booklets do, were printed at the same time and have the missing numbers? That may not be so far-fetched. The more I think about it, I think that the serial numbers were not applied at the time of printing, but during the assembly of the booklets. Has the quantity of Swedish booklets been reported yet? |
