This thread is the reason why I discovered Stampcommunity.org. Was looking for information on my blue 1 booklet. There was already like 10 pages on the subject. It was like christmas morning:) |

Here's the info from the new 2012 Unitrade catalogue.
It's listed as booklet BK429 at 8.00$
BK429a wich is "pane has blue cyliner number ("1" or "2") on right selvedge" 10.00$ BK429b wich is "pane as a black, 6-digit dot matrix, control number on right selvedge (oppositebottom stamp)"12.00$ BK429bi wich is "as b , 6-digit control number opposite top stamp" 125.00$ BK429c wich is "as BK429, pane w/blue 1 or , and black 6-digit control number" 30.00$
The catalogue also states the price of a booklet with a black couting tab must be multiplied by 5.
So it look like the holy grail of booklets is a 6-digit control number on top with a black counting tab...hhhmmm...625.00$ booklet...I'll take 2 please... ahahaha |

Thanks for the update Minesweeper!
I slightly disagree with the dealer / catalogue pricing of BK429bi (serial number next to upper stamp) of $125.00 though. The last one I sold went for $211.00 so it is a hard-to-get item at times seemingly.
I am still waiting on Bee See's previous speculation that the rare booklet to have is the Blue 1 with a black 6-digit serial number and a counting tab (black mark). The catalogue has not followed this thinking unfortunately. Perhaps they are privy to more information than us, and from varying sources at that.
Have they corrected the missing info / number for the center block of stamps from the booklet? They list the end blocks but not the center one with the differing concatenated perfs.
I am also awaiting recognition of the two more or less constant errors we have found here of the extra two dots (one movable) on the otter stamp on stamp 2 in booklets with a Blue 1 only, and the second of the dashes after the baby porpoise on some Blue 2 booklets. I think the second error needs further research to determine on which booklets it does appear.
There are offsets also happening, which I am not sure is the province of the Unitrade catalogue to mention?
It is a fun issue I think. Lets have more joint issues with Sweden! What about a lemming issue?
Maybe I a missing info here as I am not subscribed to BNAPS or the ESG, a mistake on my part I believe. |

The two extra dot variety is in fact listed as 2387di two extra dots in white wave (pos. 2 on panes with blue "1") 3.00$
It also mentions the elliptical perfs, but that's about it.

I don't have the 2012 Unitrade catalog yet. However, I suspect there is no mention of a wide selvedge variety on the left side of the booklet pane. |

Back at it after 3-4 months absence. Does absence make the heart grow fonder? Of course it does! Especially when you find a very nice right-hand block of four, with serial number in the selvedge, used with light cancel. Serial #020321, added to database. Cancelled in Wellesley, Ontario (Postal code N0B 2T0) on January 4, 2011. I can see on the right-hand otter stamps the backwards offset similar to other booklets mentioned before. The backs of the stamps (but not the selvedge) are a light yellow colour. Have to scan later and add in. So keep your eyes opened, there are some out there. |

I darkened this scan with a photo editor program a bit so you can see the yellow better. It does emter into the selvedge a bit. I do not regularly collect Sweden stamps so I do not know if this is a more or less regular thing to expect from Swedish printing. I did not soak this myself, this is how it came. My UV lamp has decided to almost die on me (need a new bulb I think) so I cannot tell for sure if this fluoresces in this way. Could be caused just by over soaking. edit: typos |

Quote: Could be stain from cover. Ah, hadn't thought of that. May be dangerous to over soak any more. Maybe just a light soak. Didn't come through onto the front though, which is good. |

Here is an unusual find: Canada Scott™ #2387 [Canada - Sweden Marine Life]. Reported and illustrated in the November 22, 2011 edition of the Canadian Stamp News, followed by a comment made by the Associate Publisher and Managing Editor, Bret Evans, as "... a pretty spectacular error, and at least so far, unique" An O.F.D.C. with the stamp (as it should be, below). An O.F.D.C. without the stamp (below, detail close-up of major error). |

Nice to see, thank you.
did not know that the envelopes were at all white undferneath the stamps. I wonder how that happened? I always thought someone stuck the stamps on, but then, a perfect placement every time has to be by some machine or template. |
