Followed the link to Status International auction. Really enjoyed looking through the catalogs.

Almost put a bid on this.

"Unsold Lots Available for Direct Purchase at indicated reserve plus 21.45% buyers commission plus freight." ......Commission = $10727

... But it was the plus freight that did me in

Maybe next time.

It would be very interesting to know how many of these were printed.

The same stamp on the previous watermark had 5000 overprinted for the Malaya Borneo Exhibition and 1735 were sold, with the remainder destroyed.

@Bobby De La Rue - from which source did you get that information please?

I am only aware of the denominations up to $5 being overprinted for the Malaya Borneo Exhibition.
