Hi Wondering if anyone can help with how to best sell many thousands of Australian state stamps ( bundled in lots of 100 & 50 ) . Undid one bundle and all stamps where free ( not stuck ) & appear in good condition . Also many hundreds of ROOS & Thousands of Georges . Do I send them for auction ? Do I take them to a dealer & accept what he offers ? Do I piece them out over many months on ebay ? Any help will be much appreciated Cheers

Lots of Australian collectors here, but you are not allowed to sell / trade until you get 50 posts. Go ahead and post some (the Kangaroos and KGV are a good start), and let's see what the comments are.

And welcome to the forum.

I'll be very interested to see what the OP has in the way of New South Wales stamps.

Anything other than 1897 1d and 2d bundles would be a bonus.

Did you at least check every watermark first?

Several thousand stamps that you don't want, but you're going to check the watermarks? Life's too short.

ahhhh the joys of "bundleware"

I've had hit or miss with searching bundleware, if it truly is older it just might be unsearched, but no guarantees.

Australian Roos and KGV bundlewares come up sometimes in auction lots; I always look upon them as a great learning tool, especially for expanding a reference in colo(ur) shades. Flyspecking to be taken up as time permits.....

Been a while since I've won some bundleware; this thread is making me nostalgic for those intriguing little annoyances :-)

We're still waiting for some photos but I'm not sure they'll be forthcoming now.
